1. Now let’s get down to shapes. In a smaller geometric shape pool with limited intrusions, a single light is sufficient. You should install the light at the end of the pool for better illumination length. In mid-size pool, two lights pointing at one another will eliminate any shadows and make the bottom of your pool appear smooth and mark-free. When it comes to illuminating the width of the pool, lights can be placed in a row and spaced evenly across, which will give you a stunning effect.
2. We use underwater LED lights because they produce the brightest light. However, you don’t want them shining directly in people’s eyes. In order to create a relaxing and inviting backyard environment, we recommend the lights being strategically placed so they are not illuminating your seating areas.
3. A general rule for illumination is to ensure that these lights are installed at a maximum depth of 300mm from the top of the pool, as steps and ledges are usually installed at a depth of 540mm. Mounting lights above the bench height ensures the area will be illuminated.
